Dior Miss Dioramour: Who is this for?

I love a pretty bottle and I love Dior’s Exceptional Pieces. Perfumes from the Miss Dior and J’Adore lines get an upgrade in the elevated bottles made in collaboration with various artists.

Dior suspended a 2.2 carat briolette cut diamond in the glass top of last year’s J’adore Diamonds of Dreams, complete with 18k gold plated cap and more diamonds to bring the total to 5 carats. The bottles were limited to just five.

There’s the Les Récoltes Majeures collection with the beautiful fabric flowers atop, La Rose being my favorite. The best bottle that Miss Dior got was Bobby, shaped like a dog– Christian Dior’s dog Bobby. But that’s the most creative it got for Miss Dior.

Miss Dior Parfum was recently housed in the classic Miss Dior bottle, adorned with a feather bow. Designed by Maison Février, the 50 limited edition bottles used goose, ostrich, and rooster feathers for the bow. Within the bottle was Miss Dior Essence. Though I’m not a fan of this bottle, I can appreciate the work that went into creating the feather bow. I don’t feel the same towards the newest Miss Dioramour.

Miss Dioramour holds the 2024 Francis Kurkdjian creation Miss Dior Parfum. The silk bow around the neck differentiates this bottle from the others and makes it an exceptional piece. According to Dior, at least.

The silk scarf has words from Marc Bohan’s poetry. The Creative Director of Dior for three decades, he was integral in shaping the house into what it is today. He sadly passed away in 2023. The silk scarf for this new limited edition bottle could be considered a tribute to him from the perfume division of the house.

There will be 150 of these bottles, 200 ml in size. Though the inspiration behind this limited edition release is touching, there is nothing exceptional about the bottle itself. Who is the perfume community is so touched by Marc Bohan’s legacy that they must own this expensive bottle? All there is a silk ribbon around the bottle’s neck…
