Get a Free Sol de Janeiro Perfume Mist in the UAE

Those of us who don’t live under a rock have developed an obsession with the Brazilian-inspired American skincare and fragrance brand Sol de Janeiro. It began for me with the Bum Bum Cream (It’s pronounced Boom-Boom, guys), which enabled my love for their Cheriosa ‘62 body mist.

If you’re just like me in your love for Sol de Janeiro or simply looking to explore what the brand offers, now is a better time than ever with Sephora UAE’s beauty offer– a free bottle of the Cheriosa ‘76 perfume mist.

Sol de Janeiro’s mists all have a beachy vibe as a throughline, but all with a different personality on top to distinguish them. All their fragrances are body mists, making them just right for anyone who prefers lighter concentrations of fragrance. Overall, they last about 2-3 hours, but you can extend their life or add dimension by layering with their other scented personal care products– deodorants, body creams, body oils, and hair products (hair mist, conditioner, oil).

What’s Cheriosa ‘76 like?

Notes

Top: Blackcurrant, Pear

Middle: Vanilla, Jasmine, Freesia

Base: Amberwood, Caramel, Patchouli

If you had the After Hours body mist and you’ve been looking everywhere for it, worry not. Cheriosa ‘76 used to be After Hours when it was released as a limited edition fragrance in 2023 and was added to the permanent collection last year. The deep, intoxicating fragrance is meant to represent the discotheque era of 1976 Rio de Janeiro. After Dark, indeed.

The opening is very vibrant and breezy with pear and black currant. The pear is fleeting, providing the fresh, green sweetness that pulls you in for a few moments before pulling a vanishing act. It’s overshadowed by the blackcurrant note and its tarty sweetness.

It gains a more mysterious character as the fruity opening dissipates, revealing the heavier white florals– jasmine and freesia– made more luxurious by vanilla. The drydown has a rich resinous woodiness from the amberwood synthetic note. It combines beautifully with the earthy and herbal patchouli. It’s a beautiful fragrance to wear as we leave the summer heat behind.

It’s this heart of white florals and vanilla with the patchouli forward base that invites comparisons to Viktor&Rolf’s Flowerbomb. If you like Flowerbomb, but find it a bit too strong for your tastes, you can try Cheriosa ‘76.

And what better time to try something new than when you get it for free?

If you’re looking to get personal care products, buying any two Sol de Janeiro products will get you a free 30 ml bottle.
