Armani introduced the first of their Sì line in 2013, a fruity-floral chypre. Its success was followed by flankers of different concentrations and diverging takes on the Sì DNA like Sì Intense, Sì Passione, Sì Nacre, Sì Flori, and more. The newest is the Sì Parfum, not to be confused with Sì Le Parfum, an ambery flanker from 2016.
I have been seeing a lot of new leathers and Sì Parfum is the newest leather addition to the market. Like most Sì fragrances, it has a vanilla-patchouli base and my personal favourite blackcurrant on top.
Sì Parfum

Top: Blackcurrant, Saffron, Nectar
Middle: Damask Rose
Base: Vanilla, Leather, Patchouli
The juicy blackcurrant is always my favourite part of the Sì perfumes. It comes with a sweetness that isn’t overly done. It comes from a synthetic nectar note that conveys a floral sweetness that gives the perfume the illusion of surrounding you with the sweet smells of nature. The deeper sweetness makes it more fit for fall-winter months as we move from the bright fruity notes like strawberry of the summer.
The leather is softer, more like suede and is made creamy by the addition of vanilla. Good wear if you like the comforting vibe of a new leather bag over the more brash, animalic scent of freshly tanned leather. So it’s more the reassurance of leather goods you’ve had with you for ages than leather that’s fresh out of the box and assaulting your senses. Quite suitable for the upcoming season for someone who prefers a gentler leather.

The patchouli has a more chocolatey-spicy personality in the parfum and becomes quite creamy in its interaction with vanilla. The rose lasts till the end and has a very fresh vibe, not getting too dark as you’d see when it’s paired with stronger leathers.
If you like the original Sì, chances are you’ll like this one too. It’s beautiful for autumn and if you’re looking for holiday presents, you can’t go wrong with this one. My answer to the new Parfum flanker is definitely Sì.
