It has a strong otherworldly mineralic accord brought about by Orcanox. The spiced opening is fresh and warm with a balsamic elemi. The base is a milky vanilla with musks. The fresh spicy notes provide a contrast to the powdery musky vanilla drydown. It’s an elegant formula, the fragrance exuding all the sophistication of the bottle design. The mineral note can feel somewhat plasticky, something to keep in mind when considering a purchase.

Muschio di Luce represents the Vaporum (Air) Stage of alchemy. For this stage, Gucci has created an aromatic woody musk perfume.
The opening is complexly aromatic with a blend of cardamom and piney, balsamic juniper. The freshness finds depth in a woody heart. While there is a lot of intrigue with the woody aromatic character, the drydown is all musk and ambroxan. Ambroxan is controversial, so tread with caution with this one. It’s also not the most inventive fragrance.

A very classic rose perfume with warm, luxurious notes of olibanum and myrrh. The rose is anchored on a patchouli base, a widely loved combination for the floral. There’s a balsamic note throughout with a touch of musk. It’s a lovely fragrance, but it’s nothing that hasn’t been done before with the flower.

Rosa Incandescente represents the Ignis (fire) stage of alchemy. For this stage, Gucci has created a marine floral with rose at the heart. The red seaweed at the base comes through at once, blending with the salt at the top to create a marine atmosphere. The ambergris, warm, salt-like, synthetic adds to the marine character. It’s a more unique rose than Rosa Sublime, but not as mass appealing.
