We have a crisp, fresh opening with the Nashi Pear. It brings a light, pleasant sweetness like a bite of a fresh pear. It disappears quickly, letting the matcha and green tea shine. The matcha is wonderfully light. Green, lightly grassy, and very calming. The green tea is very realistic like opening a tin of loose tea. Though there are no citruses listed, there’s a freshness about it that’s quite citrusy.
There’s a very outdoorsy vibe to the fragrance and it is very well rounded. Like a spa that has found itself in the middle of the woods. Clean but inviting in a green and woody scent of nature. There’s a gentle floral touch, potentially lavender for an aromatic freshness.
Molton Brown uses Hinoki, a Japanese cypress along with the amberwood note for a woody base. Hinoki is a clean and crisp woody note. It has facets reminiscent of pine along with a herbaceous and camphorous touch. The amberwood complements this with a warm, creamy synthetic woody accord. When the matcha and tea fade away, we’re left with a fully woody fragrance.
The perfume doesn’t project much and is meant to be quiet and intimate. The pleasant and innovative scent is just right for the upcoming summer. Its freshness can also be found in a scented bodywash.
